Quotes

Matt Murdock: [Speaking about Father Lantom] For me, personally, he spent many years trying to get me to face my own fears. To understand how they enslaved me, how they divided me from the people that I love. He counseled me to transcend my fears, to be brave enough to forgive... and see the possibilities of being a man without fear. That was his legacy. And now it's up to all of us to, uh, live up to it.

Marvel's best villain
23 October 2018 | by patrick-413See all my reviews

I know a lot of partisan kids will hate to hear this, but it's the truth: D'Onofrio's Kingpin is every bit the achievement the Ledger's Joker was. He's written better and more well-integrated into the story than ANY other Marvel antagonist to date, and D'Onofrio brings him to life powerfully, brilliantly, and unforgettably.

The final fight scene in this episode - the climax of the entire series - is a three-way action masterpiece that does what a fight scene should ALWAYS do (but somehow Marvel only manages in Daredevil): it uses the action to define, and even re-define, each character, managing to be fun and deep at the same time. This season of Daredevil is Marvel's best TV to date by a long shot, and this final episode was a masterpiece of superhero film.
