The human government develops a cure for mutations, and Jean Gray becomes a darker uncontrollable persona called the Phoenix who allies with Magneto, causing escalation into an all-out battle for the X-Men.
No longer able to live within the safe confines of the Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, the mutants must live, adapt, and survive in a world that hates and fears them, and learn to become X-Men beyond the guidance of their mentor.

X-Men, still grieving over the death of Phoenix (Jean Grey), are investigating a case of a missing mutant girl in Northern Japan. This leads them to a mysterious virus that turns mutants into monsters. U-Men and the Inner Circle want it.
This making-of piece looks at the genesis of this project and how Singer wanted to reunite the original cast again. X-Men: Reunited is another excellent documentary based upon 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' with Bryan Singer basically explaining how he wanted and of course achieved to bring back the original cast members of the X-Men Trilogy but also how things came to be on creating both a First Class Sequel but also a Sequel to X-Men: The Last Stand which also erases it at the same time as well and it's quite fun and short amount of 10 minutes too.
