Barry Allen is a Central City police forensic scientist with a reasonably happy life, despite the childhood trauma of a mysterious red and yellow lightning killing his mother and framing his father. All that changes when a massive particle accelerator accident leads to Barry being struck by lightning in his lab. Coming out of coma nine months later, Barry and his new friends at S.T.A.R labs find that he now has the ability to move at superhuman speed. Furthermore, Barry learns that he is but one of many affected by that event, most of whom are using their powers for evil. Determined to make a difference, Barry dedicates his life to fighting such threats, as The Flash. While he gains allies he never expected, there are also secret forces determined to aid and manipulate him for their own agenda.Written by

The Flash never takes off or puts on his mask from beginning to end in full view of the camera. The bottom part is always skin tight against his chin so instead of a pull back hood as the viewer is led to believe, it is a pull over his head cowl/mask. See more »
Whenever Barry uses his super speed from a standing start, there is a gust of wind that blows in the opposite direction (for instance, if he superspeeds to the left, there is an airburst that blows to the right). Engaging his super speed in this manner would cause a suction effect creating an airburst in the same direction he's moving in. See more »
[Season 2 opening]

Labs, I fight crime and find other meta-humans like me. I hunted down the man who killed my mother, but in doing so, I opened up our world to new threats, and I am the only one fast enough to stop them. I am The Flash.

The first 2-3 seasons were great but now the show is repeating it's self while trying but failing to inovate. The characters have become completely blank and cliché. The show has become a parody of itself. Really sad.
