Place Des Vosges, a stones throw from Victor Hugo's apartment. A young woman is found dead from a blunt-force head wound. Jo deducts the murder was not premeditated, but maybe a crime of passion, maybe the result of a struggle an argument gone bad. She is identified as Marie-Eve Lambert, a small-time art dealer from the Paris banlieue. Her husband professes not to know what she was doing in the Marais at night. He has an alibi, though his general demeanor rubs Jo the wrong way. Maybe she was meeting a lover?Written by
The series is growing on me. The slow start of the series to me but I stuck with it because I like Jill Hennessy but her role is very small in it. Jean Reno as Jo St-Clair is a good actor. The entire cast is rather good. Wunmi MosakuAs Angelique Alassane there is just something about her that I like. First noticed her in Vera. I think that one of the stronger cast that I have seen in recent years. The guest cast on this show was very good Nice to see that Leslie Caron is still active and looks great. I would guess that she is in her 80s Sam Waterston from law and order. First time that I have seen him outside of law in order in over a over I would guess 15 years. Show dealt with WW II and Nazi and the Jews and French resistance. this is the strongest show of the series so far to me. I still have to view the last two shows of the season but if you and only watch one I suggest it should be this one. I am hoping that there will be a season two. But only time will tell.
