Storyline

A respected physician on a remote island is found dead, and an autopsy reveals he was blown away with a shotgun while night swimming. The only suspect is a young-Turk doctor at a local clinic, who was convinced the old doctor had botched operations and killed people. But when other people's stories turn up inconsistent, McGarrett realizes the old man was covering for a series of shady financial transactions and was killed -- by someone else -- because he knew too much and was blackmailing somebody to hang onto his job. The killer is not revealed until late in the show; a good fistfight in a horse barn caps this episode. Written by Peter Harris

A bit weak....
16 December 2012 | by MartinHaferSee all my reviews

It was surprising that the quality of "Hawaii Five-O" episodes were consistently good--even after a decade on the air. However, I must admit that this was one of the weaker episodes of season 10. It begins with the death of a doctor--death by shotgun. Not surprisingly, Five-O is brought in to investigate. Soon it becomes apparent that a young doctor MIGHT have had a motive AND the weapon. However, the more they dig, the more unusual the circumstances and a complicated plot that frankly had too many details and none of them were all that interesting. Not a bad episode...just not one that was particularly exciting or memorable. Even Chin Ho's jaunt to Hong Kong wasn't interesting, as he obviously was just filmed in the studio and no location shooting was used.
